How many faces can you do at an event?

On average 10-12 full faces per hour how ever I can paint more faces in an hour but this means painting smaller designs with less detail.

How far will you travel?

I travel anywhere within the UK. The first 10 miles of travel are included in the price of the booking. For distances over 10 miles, I reserve the right to charge for petrol/travel expenses at cost.

How much do you charge?

This depends on the location, the number of guests attending and therefore the length of the event.

What products do you use and are they safe for my child?

The face painting products I use have all been thoroughly tested and the paints are skin safe. I have been using the brands for over 6 years with never an incident, but I am always willing to do a patch test on the arm if required.

Can my child have their face painted if they have a rash or a cold?

If your child has a runny nose or any type of skin complaint, for example, a rash, eczema, cold sore, etc. it is not advisable to paint their face however it may be possible to paint their arm or hand instead.

How old does my child have to be to have their face painted?

I do not advise a full face painting on any child under 3 years old. However, at my discretion I can paint a small design such as ladybirds, rainbow, flowers or a spider on their arm or hand instead, as long they are at least 2 years old.

How do I remove the face paint?

The best way to remove the paints is with warm water, soap and a flannel. Baby wipes can often make the job harder since they may contain lanolin or other water barriers. Baby wipes are not recommended for use on faces.

Do I need a face painter with a CRB / DBS check?

Professional Face Painters are not required to have Police checks from the Disclosure and Barring Service (Formerly known as the Criminal Records Bureau). They advise that this is because face painters should not paint unaccompanied children. They state that Professional Face Painters do not fall within the 'eligible positions' required to have these checks, which are now known as Disclosure and Barring Service checks.
